The Yakima Rotary Club is also known as the Yakima “Downtown” Rotary was chartered on December 1, 1919. With 300 active members, it is the largest Rotary club in its District and the 31st largest Rotary club in the world! Visiting guests to our weekly meetings are often stunned at how large we are for a city the size of Yakima.

With over 100 years of service, our members are dedicated to Rotary’s motto of Service Above Self. From our first service project to provide street signs so people would not get lost in the city to our most recent funding and installation of a new playground at MLK Jr. Park, we are committed to making our community and the world a better place to live.

We meet every Thursday at noon to hear and learn from exceptional guest speakers, network with fellow community members and Rotarians, and have fun. We are community builders, people of action, problem solvers, and opportunity creators. We have a passion for action and service that along the way creates life-long friendships.
